SCREEN PRINT
Flags and banners are printed using the disperse dye system. The process allows for the dye to penetrate through the yarn for long lasting light and colour fastness. National Flag's disperse dye printed flags and banners are machine washable and can be dry cleaned with impunity. Through the use of computerised colour matching and the only automatic flag printing equipment in Africa, exceptional quality is achieved. the equipment allows for close registration reducing overlaps and making half-tones and full colour print available on flags and banners.TOP
DIGITAL PRINT
National Flag has installed the only digital printer in South Africa capable of printing with disperse dyes directly onto untreated materials. This process prints direct from disk eliminating the need for positives and screens. The machine can reproduce more than 1 million colours in solids, tones or CMYK. Ideal for short runs, large sizes and multi-colour jobs. Quick turnaround guaranteed.TOP
MATERIALS
BUNTING
Traditional flag material woven from 100% polyester spun yarn. This type of material is commonly used throughout the flag industry worldwide. National Flag have their bunting woven to specification exceeding all standards. The weight is 160gms/m and the breaking strength is over 900N making it the strongest bunting in use.TOP
ULTRASHEEN®
A self-locking 3 yarn warp-knit flag material made from 100% polyester filament yarn with a gloss finish. It is lighter than woven bunting weighing 115gms/m yet has great strength. Due to its construction and speed of production it is cheaper to produce and brings down the cost of flags considerably. This type of material is fast becoming the standard in Europe.TOP
RIBTEX®
This revolutionary flag material is unique, having been developed by National Flag to suit extreme conditions and where price is a factor. It is a self-locking warp-knit with small reinforced "holes" and ribs knitted into the material for better air flow and strength. The unique design requires no hems or stitching further reducing cost. Ideally suited to vertical flags.TOP
BANNERWEAVE™
An exceptionally strong medium weight 100% polyester woven material produced for National Flag, specifically for banners. It has a matt finis, which does not reflect light yet colours appear extremely bright.TOP
POLYSATIN
Also known as bridal satin, it is recommended for indoor banners and point-of-sale material where high quality is wanted. Prints beautifully is pot colours or CMYK.TOP
SATINKNIT™
A new material produced for National Flag ideally suited to both screen and digital print. Looks and feels like satin but is much cheaper. Ideal for quality indoor point-of-sale material.TOP
PONGEE
Used mainly for desk and table flags.TOP
PVC
National Flag uses opaque PVC, which can be printed on both sides without the image showing through. This material which prints well in both spot colours and CMYK is used extensively for PoleBanners™ and outdoor advertising.TOP
FINISH
Flags are hemmed all round with two of stitching and finished with a polyester webbing heading and either rope and toggle or Acetal clips. Banners are available with sewn rope, toothed eyelets (which do not pull out) or clips for banner frames.TOP
